Three hours of dragging paint buckets, dover white goes... where?

The sunset today was amazing, pink and gold and purple in layers of puffy cumulus, blowing across the cold sky. In the other direction, the bright clear moon cut an imperfect disk from the glowing azure blue stretched taut behind the clouds. The other workers, poor blind souls that they be, walked all the way to the shop without noticing the majestic dusk ballet, performed above them nightly, for free.
